Cleaning company price guide 2026: what really determines the cost?

The cost of business cleaning is not determined by floor area alone. An active office, hotel, nursing home, public facility, logistics centre or recently renovated building requires a different mix of labour, equipment, frequency and supervision. A professional price guide should therefore provide an initial planning range—not a single price that cannot fit every site.

This guide from S.Z. Pro Clean Ltd. was updated in August 2026. The ranges below are estimates for initial planning. A binding quote is issued only after the site details, work scope and service frequency are defined and, when necessary, after a site survey.

For a recurring service, see our office cleaning service. You can also read about post-renovation cleaning and high-rise window cleaning.

Why is a cleaning company’s hourly price higher than an employee’s wage?

The service price is not the cleaner’s hourly wage. From 1 April 2026, Israel’s general minimum wage is ₪35.40 per hour when calculated on 182 monthly hours, according to the National Insurance Institute. The employer must also cover statutory rights, travel, vacation and sick leave, pension, equipment and materials, replacement staff, management and supervision.

The Ministry of Labour provides an official work-hour value calculator for the cleaning, security and catering sectors. The National Insurance Institute minimum-wage information also helps explain why an unusually low quote should be checked carefully.

How to build a quote that can be compared

  1. Describe the site: area, floors, employees, visitors, washrooms, kitchens and sensitive zones.
  2. Define the result: tasks for every visit and work performed weekly, monthly or periodically.
  3. Set the service window: morning, evening, night or during normal activity.
  4. Separate special work: carpets, polishing, high-rise windows, parking areas and post-renovation cleaning.
  5. Define control: site contact, inspection frequency, correction process and response time.

What affects the monthly cost of office cleaning?

  • Occupancy can matter more than area: a small, busy office may need more hours than a larger quiet office.
  • Frequency: daily service is planned differently from two visits per week.
  • Service model: routine maintenance, a permanent cleaner, daytime presence and an evening team are different models.
  • Materials and equipment: sensitive flooring, carpets, glazing and industrial machines require the right method.
  • Supervision and backup: inspections and replacement coverage affect service stability.

Frequently asked questions about cleaning company prices

Are cleaning materials included in office cleaning prices?

Not always. Some quotes include basic materials and equipment, while paper products, soap, bags or specialist equipment may be priced separately. Ask for a written breakdown.

Is hourly or monthly pricing better?

An hourly or project price can be clear for one-off work. For recurring service, a monthly price based on tasks, hours and supervision is easier to compare accurately.

Can I receive a price without a site survey?

An initial estimate can be based on area, photos and usage details. A survey reduces surprises for a complex office, institution, hotel, car park or industrial site.

Why can two quotes for the same office be very different?

The number of hours, included materials, supervision, staff backup, equipment and periodic work may differ. Compare the same specification before comparing totals.
