Cleaning Company for Logistics Centres and Warehouses
A warehouse cannot be assessed as empty floor area. Racking, forklift routes, loading docks, picking, packaging, offices and staff facilities create different risks and cleaning demand. The programme therefore starts with a movement map and clear responsibility boundaries.
What the site survey measures
- Floor type and condition, dust and local soil
- Pedestrian, forklift and loading routes
- Delivery windows, shifts and available work periods
- Zones that require permits or a temporary movement stop
The survey also records areas that cannot enter a routine route without permission: equipment-charging points, high racking, access-controlled rooms and zones beside exposed stock. This prevents a proposal from appearing comprehensive while leaving important responsibilities unclear after mobilisation.
Practical zoning
- Entrances and offices receive a representative standard
- Main aisles and picking areas receive planned mechanical cleaning
- Docks and external approaches follow measured operational demand
- Sanitary and staff areas use separated tools and inspection
Large-floor equipment is selected by working width, manoeuvrability and productivity rather than by a generic machine label. Narrow aisles, uneven transitions, slip-resistant surfaces and sensitive zones may require another machine or a manual stage. The route is coordinated so it does not obstruct forklifts, picking or loading activity.
Service control
- Named contacts and inspection points
- An agreed route and time for correcting service gaps
- Periodic tasks outside the daily route
- Frequency reviews when logistics volume changes
Quality is checked at defined points, not only by general appearance. Entrances, main aisles, docks, edges, accessible areas beneath equipment, sanitary rooms and staff facilities can receive separate criteria. When delivery volume or seasonal demand rises, the frequency is changed through an agreed process rather than informal requests.
Frequently asked questions
Can an active warehouse be cleaned without stopping operations?
In many cases yes. Work is divided into controlled zones and time windows, with pedestrian and vehicle movement coordinated by the site manager.
Is the price calculated only by square metre?
No. Area matters, but density, soil level, floor type, operating hours, traffic, equipment and frequency can have a greater effect.
Does the service include shelves and inventory?
Only when it is explicitly defined after checking access and responsibility. Moving or cleaning stock and high shelving is not automatically part of floor cleaning.
Can the service include a permanent team?
The staffing model is selected according to site size, operating hours and scope. Permanent staff, shifts or periodic specialist crews can be considered.
